Title: Self Analysis after Level Three
Post by: TromFan on September 06, 2019, 04:53:37 pm
The following is tendered ONLY as advice and not an enforcement:

After re-doing level three with the expanded commands (see my post "Resolving Level Three" ) I started doing Self Analysis.  I am well into the lists now, just finishing the list on "sound".

I LOVE doing it.  It's a nice break from handling all these charged incidents to now run pleasure moments.  Validate the positive rather than try to get rid of the negative.

My THEORY is this-- I don't think TROM is necessarily a substitute for Scientology.  I think it complements it well.  I think it handles things Scn doesn't and vice versa.

I like having both subjects at my disposal.  Dennis used both too.

cool

I see trom as an improvement to upper level scientology . Dennis said he never was able to pass trom along to LRH in time.

I don't know what the upper levels are like at the top of the bridge . I do know that L5 is = to OT 8.

I know what they both have in common and how they differ. I don't have specifics.

They both lead to  " there "  a place where Dennis made it to but never met anyone else who had .

Thanks for responding!

The 2 main things that make TROM special are:

1) The ability to handle your case solo-- and in a way that's more advanced than Self Analysis or Handbook for Preclears (though the two books are nothing to sneeze at)
2) Dennis solved the flaw in Goals processing by running opposing postulates correctly rather than running identities.

I am back on level five now and have been for at least a few weeks.  I STILL do Self Analysis, but only a page of it after my TROM session is over.

The Self Analysis REALLY helps stabilize me mentally after a session is over, because sometimes I just can't get enough RI done to stop myself from pulling in significances.  The Self Analysis really brings my havingness up.

I am sure the Church would scream if they knew I was using one of their sacred texts in that manner.  I think if Dennis were alive today, I could at least have an intelligent discussion with him about it.

Having done Self-Analysis I can see it as very validating. The UK version is also good.

Don't consider it as critique or evaluation but more like an opinion:
From my point of view it looks like you are wavering from the course charted by DHS.
If you consider his technology to be complete and self sufficient one and feel the lack of importancies then you just do more ROI.
If you hold an opinion that ROI just can't supply you with enough importancies then you start squirelling.

Two data to consider

Scientology fits inside the subject of TROM.  Therefore, any practice of Scientology would not go against one's practice of TROM.

Dennis used to do "book and bottle" to warm up his theta perceptics. That's a Scientology process. You can look it up. It's called "Opening Procedure" by duplication, a process of walking the preclear across the room to ask him questions about the book at one end and the bottle on the other.

Both data above are in the lectures.

In the book Handbook for Preclears, it's advised one do Self Analysis to balance out one's case.

I don't think in terms of 'squirreling'. That's name-calling invented by Ron to keep people from looking at anything outside Scientology for answers. Strictly speaking, Trommers are squirels according to Ron.

Dennis does say he would commend anyone who came up with better techniques.  I am not even doing that. I am just applying the datum that Scientology fits inside TROM, and that according to Scn S.A. can be used to balance out one's case if self-proceessing gets too intense for one.

My advice in this posting is just that--- it's not an enforcement and I am not putting it forth as "TROM Gospel".
