General Discussion / Re: What's at the end?
« on: March 11, 2014, 04:12:26 pm »
Last lifetime I recall going exterior to the body and seeing Ron Hubbard and a large dog while my body was still somewhere else.   Alas, here I am now with even more limiting postulates due to further games play and "fun".

I've learned my lesson and that's why I'm putting my nose to the grindstone -- doing TROM this time.  Exteriorization will be available to me whenever it is necessary.

I would not begrudge you giving yourself an exteriorization experience because experiences like that can be educational/enlightening.  The immense pleasure of my last lifetime exteriorization caused me to look for Ron and I finally did connect up with his organization, and through that experience, TROM.

Dennis said he was no slouch when it came to OT abilities, but wasn't that while he was doing Level Five?  Or Completed?

General Discussion / Re: Universes?
« on: March 10, 2014, 02:25:40 pm »
Hello, Jonah,

I'm not in that place right now where I could speak on this subject.    I appreciate you putting that out there for consideration.

In doing clearing work we all get some wonderful realizations about life and universes, etc and it is good I believe to note them.

Keep on Trom-o-ing :)

Dennis talks about vanishing the universe:

"That others may choose to keep these particles in existence, still is, in the final instance, entirely their concern. Thus, you can walk out of the trap without the need to take everyone else with you. Believing differently is not to grant others the right to their own convictions - a trap all of its own."

But it is nice to have someone with you:

"One last word before we go into Level Five proper. Be sure you want to make the trip. There’s no going back, you know. Can you go back now and enjoy the games you played as a five year old? Once you walk this road you can’t get off it. My advice is to take someone with you, or you’ll soon be running a terrible scarcity of people to talk to about the really interesting things in life. If you don’t fancy yourself as a being with god-like abilities, on the other hand, then the top of Level Four is the place to quit. You are still more or less human, and Level Five will soon change all that.

Are you coming? Good! Nice to have you along."

General Discussion / Beating Yourself Up for Not Doing Trom?
« on: March 09, 2014, 08:28:22 pm »
I found out recently that self-invalidation and beating myself up was eating into my ability to actually run a process --  because I did not meet my self-expectations to do it yesterday.

Tolle answered this nicely for me:

Whenever I attempt this process or something similar but with more direction (i.e., "What am I") mind-stuff keeps coming up and out.   There is discharge accompanying this approach or else it would not be worth doing.

For example:  "What am I?"    Answer:  (Valence or identity name); this gets acknowledged and question asked again and again until person is VGI's ("Very Good Indicators").

I believe as Dennis says that the reason these sorts of processes come to a grinding halt is lack of some sort of havingness process.
You will notice that Niz probably got his havingness from smoking -- just a guess.

Level two TROM / Re: Doing Level Two with regard to Persons
« on: March 09, 2014, 11:48:18 am »
In most of my Level 2 sessions the charge is in the similarities, not the differences.   The old A=A=A spoken of in Dianetics.

I could not yet find the reference but I thought somewhere Dennis says the main purpose of running differences is for balance.

Level two TROM / Re: Doing Level Two with regard to Persons
« on: March 09, 2014, 11:21:57 am »
I copied over a post from the Trom email list.   This is from Ralph Clouse, Class VI (uninterned) auditor, a Trommer, and who is also delivering Grade Two (overts and withholds) to me:

Hi Colleen

The difference between persons and objects would seem obvious. Similarities is not so obvious.

Apparent life to apparent non-life

Whereas person to person there would be a more obvious / important relationship and similarity of beingness characteristics, there by restimulation factor of a past person whom is charged in your mind, impressing itself in the NOW via similar personality traits and or looks, judgements, conclusions etc  of a person in PT.

I would think experience in Level 2 exercises using then persons with now persons a very desirable gradient in preparation for level 3,4,5 Timebreaking.

Keep on TROMing

Ralph

Level two TROM / Doing Level Two with regard to Persons
« on: March 09, 2014, 10:53:37 am »
Attached is a post from Paul Tipon on how he ran Level Two regarding Persons.   He brought the "then" person up against a "now" object in his environment.   Of course the differences would be greater than the similarities.

When I first read the instructions I assumed Dennis meant objects against objects and persons against persons.   To do persons though I would either have to have pictures of people in front of me as "now" persons, or I would have to simply bring up two people side by side from different locations (not the same incident).    Of course, in that case, similarities would be greater -- even greater than differences I would say -- and more charge would run off.   In fact, at this stage of mental compulsion one's life could flash before their eyes regarding an importance that might come up when comparing persons with persons.

I have yet to compare persons with objects.

Hale Dwoskin is the main Teacher of the Sedona Method Courses and I've linked to a candid interview of him here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DwSg_PCQuxI

The Sedona Method Course is very complementary to the better known junior packages of TROM.   It also gets as far as "Separation and Oneness"   It is available in CDs or one can find free MP3 files on the internet for the older course.  The sessions are easy peasey because of the skillful attention to gradients.   Plus Trommers have the added crucial practice of doing RI before and after a session.

Last night I gave myself a session re "To Control" and was happy to find that I could now confront some life patterns of Control.

Do plenty of RI before and after a session, or some other havingness process.   I did not do enough RI apparently last night and did not have a great night's sleep as residuals of the "To Control" session pulled in more issues with Control.

From Niz:

"The Sense of "I am" (Consciousness)

When I met my Guru, he told me: "You are not what you take yourself
to be. Find out what you are. Watch the sense 'I am', find your real
Self." I obeyed him, because I trusted him. I did as he told me. All
my spare time I would spend looking at myself in silence. And what a
difference it made, and how soon!

My teacher told me to hold on to the sense 'I am' tenaciously and not
to swerve from it even for a moment. I did my best to follow his
advice and in a comparatively short time I realized within myself the
truth of his teaching. All I did was to remember his teaching, his
face, his words constantly. This brought an end to the mind; in the
stillness of the mind I saw myself as I am -- unbound.

I simply followed (my teacher's) instruction which was to focus the
mind on pure being 'I am', and stay in it. I used to sit for hours
together, with nothing but the 'I am' in my mind and soon peace and
joy and a deep all-embracing love became my normal state. In it all
disappeared -- myself, my Guru, the life I lived, the world around
me. Only peace remained and unfathomable silence."

Other technology about the mind / Articles from Homer Wilson Smith

In case you have not read Homer Wilson Smith's articles this is the latest that dropped into my inbox.   It is attached.

The reason I took up Scientology Grade 2 auditing coincident with my practice of Repair of Importances (RI) and Level 2 (Differences and Similarities Timebreaking) is that I was heavily dramatizing overts and withholds.

It is having a calming effect as I let go of certain tendencies or compulsions related to the subject addressed.

Two days ago I took a look in session at Lester Levenson (Sedona Method founder) and was able to let go of some part of an experiential loop related to what Dennis terms "Freedom Factories".  I saw how these IP states and compulsions would actually make my clearing work less enjoyable.

I do RI before session and after session and that helps too.

My focus right now is on helping them be present, if they are not already, and helping them to be a better, more complementary human
Parents set the example too.   For example, if parents have meditation time solo and/or with a group to help them quiet their own minds, I would say that is a good example.  Or yoga.

As with you, I am also not knowing how far I want to take this.   Having reared children there was an urge to do a write-up while scanning through that experience.
