Level 2 is there to reduce the compulsive game condition with the mind so you can image that the intensity of change and change over time are directly related to how serious the games condition is for that person.
So i guess do not get hung up on trying to be aware of progress, instead make sure you do your sessions well by doing RI when you start, do your level you are at (and sometimes do RI when you feel you need it) and end your session with RI. It might make sense to write down session notes which might be useful to see 'progress' over time (and this can mean months or even years).
It is like physical exercise, building muscles, getting stronger, this can take years, in the beginning your might not notice any changes whatsoever, but consistency, doing your exercise routine after months and years you suddenly might look in the mirror and go 'whoa i see some good changes'.
Note: For me it was hard to see my own change, instead i had comments from others telling me that i was progressing a lot. Self progress is most of the time hard to see so don't bother.
