The Responsible Dissemination of TROM
« on: August 27, 2023, 04:48:29 pm »
I have had for nearly five years now the policy that if I am going to tell another about TROM, I do it in such a way that the other person has a solid chance of not only understanding it, but also in a way that puts TROM in the best light possible.
Therefore, any TROM data that I disseminate, I make sure that:

-The receiver has a full glossary that defines every term in it.
-That the glossary I provide does not have further words in it that are not defined.
-That there are no typos, grammatical errors, or mis-spellings in what I transmit.

I have gone even further and revised the TROM manual so it is arranged in an order from easiest to hardest concepts and annotated it with explanations.

In other words, if I want someone else to know about TROM, I don't make TROM look like some amateurish work thrown together by children.
I can't say this for everyone else who has disseminated TROM.  And I can only imagine how many people have been put off by TROM because of how it's presented.
Now, the above is a lot of work. BUT I have gone to the trouble myself of correcting these things, at least in the manual.  I have yet to tackle all the lectures.
YOU DO NOT HAVE TO GO TO THE WORK YOURSELF.
All you have to do is send them a copy of TROM 2023.  All the original text is in it, just arranged in a logical order so the learning curve is tolerable, and it has annotations, illustrations, and a complete glossary too.

I have also put together a YouTube channel for study assistance:

I have heard too many people tell me they quit reading TROM after a few pages because the version they had starts with Dennis' lectures about how he developed TROM, which is not only added unnecessary data for the new reader, but is filled with terms the layman is not familiar with, and the person gives up reading right away.  I can only imagine how many other people have done the same thing. I also know of one person who thought 'complementary postulates' meant giving someone a compliment, and it's probably because many of the lecture transcripts out there spell it wrongly as 'complimentary'.
I've seen on a TROM-promoting website the word 'psychology' and 'psychic' spelled 'phychology' and 'phycic' and other such things that make the website look like it was put up by someone with an eighth grade education.

Please people, do not allow Dennis' work to be shown in this light.

You can disseminate TROM responsibly, and have some consideration for the end recipient just by using the links in this posting. Please at least proofread your websites and blogs so it looks professional.  Don't do it for me. Do it for those who want to learn TROM, so they can have some confidence in the subject.
